Building Arche Place
Studies show that immigrant women and girls in the United States may be twice as likely to experience domestic violence than the general population, and theyโre less likely to leave their abusers due to fear of immigration consequences, such as being deported and/or separated from children.

Arche Place focuses on increasing awareness of domestic violence and its consequences among the African diaspora, all through the lens of our deep understanding of the cultural context and barriers victims face. And then, we strive to create a safe and nurturing environment, providing services and tools for them to heal, create positive change in their lives, and rebuild their lives.
Arche Place is a nonprofit organization and is the first ever dedicated organization to help victims of domestic violence from the โจsub-Saharan African immigration population.
